5G connectivity in 5 economic zones

Initially, work has started to provide 5G connection in five economic zones of the country, said Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar. He said, '5 connection is the digital highway of the fourth industrial revolution. The Fourth Industrial Revolution will be based on 5G. We have completed preparations to build this digital highway of technology. I hope that the journey of 5G technology will start in 2021. The minister expressed these hopes in a keynote address at a webinar titled "Preparing Bangladesh for the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Digital Transformation in Innovation and Research" organized by World University on Friday night (July 30). The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications stressed the need for innovation to ensure sustainable development, saying, “Through innovation, China is emerging as a major economic power in the world. We also have no choice but to focus on innovation to meet the challenges of the future. Mustafa Jabbar said, “Through the digital transformation of education, 65% of the country's young population needs to be developed as human resources. To this end, the work of creating human resources has to be started from primary school. He mentioned that starting digital education from the university is a difficult task to create skilled human resources in the future. In order to continue the digital transformation of primary and secondary, the higher education level also needs to pay more attention to innovation and research. Barrister Syed Saidul Haque Sumon, Legal Secretary of Bangladesh Awami Juba League, addressed the webinar presided over by Prof. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of World University. Speakers at the event emphasized the need for more investment in innovation to meet challenges.
